PR agency repositions itself / More digitally positioned brand

Donner & Doria Public Relations is now operating under the name Nicarus – Agency for Digital Content. The agency’s new position capitalizes on its digital content expertise. A specialist agency, it focuses on creating, publishing and monitoring relevant content, across all channels, for its customers. Public relations, social media, online marketing and employer branding will be under the Nicarus umbrella.

“More than ever, good content has to be up-to-date and relevant – and reach the target groups. That’s why we focus and specialize on what we do best: digital content,” explains agency founder Peter Verclas.

In early 2021, the Heidelberg agency decided to express its new positioning on the market with a new brand. The staff developed the new brand themselves in a multi-stage process – from the name (a reference to Heidelberg’s famed Neckar River) to the corporate design to the agency’s own communication. In the process, the consultants also incorporated feedback from selected customers. The cooperative and iterative approach contributed to a strong identification from the very beginning.

Donner & Doria PR agency was founded in 2003 as a traditional PR agency. Today, Nicarus positions  itself as an agency for digital content and is one of the top three PR agencies in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region and among the top 100 in Germany. In a difficult market environment, it was able to hold its own well in 2020, even growing slightly. In 2022, the 15-strong agency then made further significant gains and is currently on a good growth path.

“We want to take advantage of the current momentum and continue to take off. To do this, we have positioned our agency more sharply and focused our range of services. And our new brand and our digital presence reflect this perfectly,” says Verclas, who is looking forward to agency’s new chapter.
